Introduction
Current technological trend is to design of Microstrip (patch) antennas.
Patch antennas offer many advantages not commonly exhibited in other antenna configurations.
They are extremely
circuits(MMIC)

Motivation
With bandwidths as low as a few percent, broadband applications using
conventional Microstrip patch designs are limited.
Several methods to increase the bandwidth and low frequency ratio of a patch
antenna.
Dual-frequency operation of antennas has become a necessity for many
applications such as WiFi/ Wimax.
A dual-frequency patch antenna with an inset feed or probe feed can produce a
dual-frequency response, with both frequencies having the same polarization
sense.
Using IE3D software, a design technique for patch antenna has been developed.

Conclusion
For antenna design 1, Two rectangular notches at non radiating edges of the patch and one
notch at radiating edge make the structure resonating for dual band in WLAN and WiMAX
frequency range.
For antenna design 2, A simple and efficient technique of inset method has been introduced
for an impedance matching improvement of the antennas.
For antenna design 3, The design of E-Shape Micro strip patch antennas with line feed are
widely used in satellite, radar and wireless communication.
