Project Scope

Functional scope:
Implementing OM, PA, TM and Payroll modules with the
business functions proposed in RFP.
Carry out the performance and regression testing to ensure
the integrity of the whole SAP system.
Technical scope:
Installing LAN, WAN and servers to support the hardware
requirement of SAP and execute successful migration from
client legacy system to SAP system.

Geographic and Organizational scope:


The SAP R/3 system will involve a roll out to all the locations
of Reliance industries. The initial roll out will begin on
November 08, 2013 and roll out to other locations will occur
in two week intervals by the accounting close of January 08,
2014.
This roll out strategy will be reviewed prior to the conclusion
of blue print and realization phases, therefore subject to
further modification.

Communicates the long-term goals of the organization
Maintains regular and visible contact with the project
Makes business decisions on issues escalated by the steering

Steering Committee

Provide strategic directions for the project


Monitor Project budget, scope, schedule
Commit required resources to the project
Resolve escalated issues
Communicate progress and status to the executive sponsor

Program Managers

Provide leadership and direction to all members of the project team


Ensure effectiveness of the project structure and roles
Review project plans and deliverables
Approve significant changes to project plans
Control costs & expenses to agreed budget
Analyze project progress
Locate and secure resources for the project
Ensure good communication between teams within the project

Project Manager

Take the ownership of their process areas and project deliverables


Ensure deliverables are developed and completed on schedule
Guide and monitor the team members work
Make the team members to deliver efficient work
Coordinate with the project leads to assess the POC (percentage of
completion) of project as per the schedule
Ensure that all integration issues are handled and that adequate
integration testing is completed

Project Team members SAP (RIL)

Attends and actively participates in all meetings required to develop


and confirm the design.
Give inputs on requirements to the consultants
Participate in the system configuration
Participate in the UAT and Integration Test
Assist Igrowsoft Project Team members to develop training guide
Part of the team of trainers to train RIL users after receiving training
from Igrowsoft consultants
Support data migration and coordinate activities

Project Team Members (IGROW)

Provide functional design knowledge of SAP applications and


recommendations as per the client business process during the
implementation
Evaluate and perform GAP analysis with current system design
Develop solution model based on GAP analysis
Gather configuration requirements for all relevant SAP modules and
configure SAP Application
Prepare functional specifications to be used by programming team
for RICEF (Reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements and
forms) requirements
Develop User Acceptance Test plan and test scripts
Develop training guide and conduct 'Train-the-Trainer' training
Escalate issues to Project Manager / Team Lead on a timely basis
Enable knowledge and skills sharing and transfer

Program Management Office

Provides administrative support to the project team.


Provide executive communications to RIL
Report project status to steering committee
Manage staffing requirements
Provide training and guidance to project team members
Monitor overall program progress
Ensures that project team members can remain focused on
delivering project objectives and are not sidetracked on
administrative duties.
The Project Office will be involved in everything from logistical
support to document production, publication of meeting minutes,
tracking schedules, developing presentations, interview
confirmations, and conference/meeting room bookings.

team members, project sponsors and stakeholders
Project Team Meeting To be held weekly and participated by all
project team members
Project Screening committee meeting To be held once a month
and participated by the project screening committee and project
managers
The project shall be controlled through the Project Change
Management Process . Any changes in the requirements that
impacts cost and schedule shall be managed through the Project
Change Administration.
The Project Screening committee meeting shall review and approve
all change request
