A New York officer displays a random act of
kindness to a homeless man when he purchased
a pair of boots and thermal socks. He wasnt
aware that anyone was paying attention when a
passerby snapped a picture of it.

Two Houston police officers were called to a
womans home to find that she barley had any
food so they went to their local Walmart and
bout the lady a couple of buggies worth of food.
A woman who was in line with them took their
picture because she thought it was odd that they
were shopping late at night in their uniforms.

A San Diego Police officer was in a McDonalds
when he was approached by a 13 year old boy who
was short $0.10 to purchase 3 cookies, the officer
paid for them for him and while they waited he had
a conversation with him about what he wanted to
be when he grew up. He made an impression on
this boy little be know the officer would be killed
several minutes later by a suicidal gunman. The
officer had just returned from Afghanistan where he
served as a Marine.

The Trayvon Martin case where the teen was in
the wrong place at the wrong time. Zimmerman
had already deemed Trayvon as acting up to no
good and suspicious and took it upon himself to
confront him which in the end turned deadly.
This article has classified this as a vigilante
killing on Zimmermans part.

I read an interesting article that asks is it ok for
an officer to break the law in order to uphold the
law? Thats a good question that a lot of
American citizens have are officers being too
harsh and going beyond what it necessary to
uphold the law and are their actions justified
because they have a badge and is it ok for them
to use vigilante actions to enforce the law.

Bernard Goetz was on an Manhattan subway when

3 black men tried to rob him when he pulled out
his gone and shot them and even when the one
was already down he made a statement about him
not looking so big and bad now and shot him again
they all survived their injuries and one was
paralyzed. He went on the run for a while before
deciding to turn himself in. this is an example of a
person taking the law into their own hands.

A Florida man who was going into Walmart to
purchase a few thiings removes his gun from his
car and put it into its holster little did he know
that another customer had seen him retrieve the
gun from his car and bring it in as the man
entered the store the other gentleman jumped
him and put him in a choke hole screaming that
he had a gun he was un aware that the man had a
concealed gun permit and was allowed to carry it.

Residents of a Detroit neighborhood attacked a
man who was accused of raping a 15 year old
girl who had Down syndrome. They had left
injuries on his legs and head. This assault took
place because they felt like the police where
taking too long to do their job and decided to
take things into their own hands.
