    What is Cross Cultural Team?

    As the world economy is globalized the companies are expanding their


    businesses in international markets for business profitability. The teams
    are recruited by these companies in the international market for the
    business tasks to be performed. These teams belong to different
    cultural background and have different values. Teams such as these are
    called cross cultural teams.

    Scenario

    Amit, an Indian who is supposed to work at the OS office in UK for 18


    month has been told to leave after 06 months.

    Racism in the workplace

    He was alienated

    He was humiliated and taunted

    Problems

    Language and accent

    The food he brought and no one wanted share lunch time with him

    No communication

    Colleagues avoided him and did not assist him

    Racist act of fellow colleagues

    Appearance

    My Opinion

    Amit should have spoken to his superiors first

    Should have informed the HR

    Should have contacted his country company

    Have an open conversation with his colleagues

    Should have adapted to the culture

    Should have resigned
