Easter Seals
Easter Seals was created by Edgar Allen in 1919
Founded as the National Society for Crippled Children
Effort to improve disability services
Focus on inclusion within the community
Donors were given seals to place on envelopes to show support
The seal depicted a lily symbolizing new life
It has been the Easter Seals logo since 1952
Mission
To ensure those with disabilities and special needs have
equal opportunities to live, learn, work and play in their
communities
To provide exceptional services and become the premier
resource of disability services.
