OIL RECORD BOOK PART-1

For machinery space


Required for all oil tanker of 15o GT and
above and other ship 400 GT and above.
Shall in the format specified in the
appendix III of annex 1
Entry to be made in ORB part 1
1. (A) Ballasting or cleaning of oil fuel
tanks

ORB Part 1
(B) Discharge of dirty ballast or cleaning water from
oil fuel tanks referred to under
Section (A)
(C) Collection, transfer and disposal of oil residues
(sludge)
(D) Non-automatic starting of discharge overboard,
transfer or disposal otherwise of
bilge water which has accumulated in machinery
spaces

(E) Automatic starting of discharge overboard,
transfer or disposal otherwise of bilge
water which has accumulated in machinery spaces
(F) Condition of the oil filtering equipmen
(G) Accidental or other exceptional discharges of oil
(H) Bunkering of fuel or bulk lubricating oil

Each entry must be signed by the officer
in-charge of the operation and each page
must be signed by the master of the ship
Entry shall in English, Spanish or French
Any failure of Oil filtering equipment shll
be recorded in ORB
It shall be preserved for the at least 3
years from the date of last entry

It shall be preserved for the period of three years
from the date of last entry
