Some students will even tell us all the
bad things they have done.
They are all misbehaving in an attempt to
gaining attention.

works, and makes the behavior worse.
Overreacting to this students behavior, both
in personal conferences and in the
classroom.
Allowing the distracter to affect us
personally rather than keeping our
professional objectivity.

Students really believe they can't win in
school.
These students use inabilityreal or
assumedto escape participation.
When they are supposed to be studying, they
play and talk to others.
Then they make excuses such as "I couldn't
do it" or "I'm dumb."
Their misbehavior results from a lack of selfconfidence.
A perfectionist,
for example someone who believes he or she must
get everything 100% right, will be more afraid of failing than
someone who grants him or herself the right to learn and improve.
