and asthma because of the Acapulcos anti-fungal properties

akapulko leaves contain chrysophanic acid, fungicide that is

Spanish: Quisqual
Hindu: Madhu Malti or Madhumati
Niyog-niyogan is an herbal medicine used for expulsion
of itensial worms with anti-cancer properties.

or Guava fruit is known for being rich in vitamin and

AMPALAYA

Ampalaya (Bitter Melon), Momordica Charantia
has been a folkloric cure for generations but has
now been proven to be an effective herbal
medicine for many aliments.
The Philippine Department of Health has endorsed
Ampalaya Bitter Melon (Momordica Charantia) as
an alternative herbal medicine for liver problems.
Research about Ampalaya has shown that
Ampalaya increases the production of beta cells
by the pancreas, thereby improving the bodys
ability to produce insulin, which controls the blood
sugar diabetics.

Ampalaya leaves and fruits are excellent

region as dangla, lagundi has been clinically
tested to be effective in the treatment of colds,
flu, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, and
pharyngitis. Lagundi contains Chrysoplenol D, a
substance with anti-histamine and muscle
relaxant properties.

Even in Japan, lagundi is becoming


recognized as an effective herbal medicine,
especially since researches have shown that
it contains properties that make it an
