NIYOG-NIYOGAN

English: Chinese honeysuckle/ Rangoon creeper
Spanish: Quisqual
Hindu: Madhu Malti or Madhumati
Niyog-niyogan is an herbal medicine used for expulsion
of itensial worms with anti-cancer properties.
Niyog-niyogan benefits:
Expels intestinal worms and parasites the seeds of
niyog-niyogan are dried and taken orally.
Recommended dosage is 4 to 7 seeds for children while
8 to 10 seeds for adults

It is one of the ten herbal medicines endorsed by
the Philippine Department of Health as an
effective herbal medicine with proven
therapeutic value. Commonly known the Ilocos
region as dangla, lagundi has been clinically
tested to be effective in the treatment of colds,
flu, bronchial asthma, chronic bronchitis, and
pharyngitis. Lagundi contains Chrysoplenol D, a
substance with anti-histamine and muscle
relaxant properties.
