One officer (non- entitled) may accompany VIPs/ Foreign

Sportsmen, manager, Coaches, masseurs & doctors
selected for sporting events of international importance
held outside India may travel by economy class.
employees working in Tripura may travel by Air between
Agartala & Kolkata on tour/transfer only.
In other cases, Secretaries of the ministries can authorize
air travel.
No TA is admissible for attending any Social function

TA for Local Journey


Journey on duty on any day beyond 8 km

from Duty point at hqrs & within the limits of


suburban/UA etc.

Mileage allowance plus 50% of admissible DA.


(option is available either to claim normal TA or
conveyance charges)
TA is admissible for residence to place of duty
( if journey is less than 8 km., no mileage allowance is
admissible)
If journey is performed by taxi/auto i.e. other than
normal mode, prior approval may be obtained.
Reimbursement may be on the basis of actual journey.
If conveyance is provided free of charge, only DA will
be admissible.
No DA beyond 180 days.

Full DA is given for just 180 days of continuous halt (excluding
travel period) on tour/ temporary transfer / training.
No DA beyond 180 days.
DA rates (all components) will be increased by 25% when
allowance on pay goes up by 50%

To surplus staff transferred from one post to other post.
Once in a calendar year while proceeding on leave/ retiring
from leave from a place in remote locality or to a place in
remote locality.
Once in a calendar year to officials domiciled in the union
territories of Andman & Nicobar, Lakshdweep islands while
proceeding on leave to their Home town in another islands
on the UI & retiring from the home town.
Not admissible in case of temporary transfers

Features:
Holidays cannot be pre-fixed to joining time but can be

suffixed
JT starts/ calculated from old headquarters only
may be combined with vacation leave of any kind except
casual leave
Extension can be granted up to maximum of 30 days by
HOD

Departments on the conditions that 8 days for preparation
& Reasonable transit time & Holidays, if any following JT

TA on temporary Transfer
Admissible In all cases of transfer not exceeding 180 days
Journey will be treated as on tour
Joining time is not admissible.
Only actual transit time as for tour is allowed
No advance of pay is admissible.
In case of reduction of days in temporary transfer, TA claim
originally allowed should not be changed to the
disadvantage to official
In case of extension of temporary transfer beyond 180
days, the TA already drawn shall be adjusted in the transfer
TA.
However, DA is admissible up to date of issue of the
revised orders.

TA On Transfers :
Transferred in Public Interest at different station
A composite transfer grant :
Includes Pay+ GP+NPA for one month

Within 60 days of 1st order :

1st person is entitled for Full TA on transfer


2nd transfer grant is NOT admissible

1st person is entitled for Full TA on transfer


2nd transfer TA is admissible half of admissible amt.

Beyond 6 months:

Both are entitled for Full TA on transfer
