History
In 1769 the first steam-powered automobile
capable of human transportation was built by
Nicolas Joseph Cugnot.
In 1864 Siegfried Marcus built the first gasoline
powered combustion engine.
In 1886, Karl Benz developed a petrol- or gasolinepowered automobile. This is also considered to be
the first "production" vehicle as Benz made several
other identical copies.
In 1902, Henry Ford produced the Ford Model T
which is generally regarded as the first affordable
automobile, the car that opened travel to the
common middle-class
