BACKGROUND
Dryer is an equipment that
helps to
remove moisture out of solids
and
Suspensions.
The main principle in a dryer is
to
supply a flow of fluid in a
closed
chamber
elevated
The idea is with

object

moisture out of the chamber
to see their effects on drying
rate.

PROBLEM STATEMENT
What is the best operating
temperature and
air flow rate in a rotating dryer to
allow the
highest possible drying rate?

METHODOLOGY

The corns are cleaned and dyed

DISCUSSIONS

CONCLUSIONS

EXPERIMENT 5
(effect of temperature on
drying rate)

Experiment 6
(effect of flow rate on
drying rate)

The weight loss of nuts increased when

hot air inlet temperature increased.
This can be concluded that the higher
the temperature of hot air inlet, more
moisture could be removed from nuts.

The weight loss of nuts increased with

increasing of flow rate of air. This can
be concluded that the higher the air
flow rate, the higher the drying rate.
