fibras y formacin de elastina en la cpsula articular.

Mujeres /hombre: 2/1 .*Suceptibilidad gentica, influencia hormonal, presentacin nalgas.

Ortolani=reduce
(d and e) Barlow and Ortolani tests:
The middle finger of one hand is
placed over the greater trochanter
with the thumb over the medial
femur. The hip and knee are flexed
and the hip adducted 1020. With
the other hand stabilising the pelvis,
the femoral head is pushed gently
downwards. If the hip is dislocatable
the femoral head will be pushed out
of the acetabulum, producing a
palpable clunk (Barlowtest d). The
hip is then abducted while upward
pressure is applied to the greater
trochanter with the middle finger of
the examining hand. A dislocated hip
should relocate during this (Ortolani)

CONCLUSIONES:
La displasia del desarrollo de la cadera (DDC) es el defecto congnito ms frecuente en el
recin nacido, sin embargo puede aparecer en el desarrollo del nio, y representa la principal
causa de artrosis de cadera.
Deteccin oportuna: Todos los recin nacidos deben ser valorados por el pediatra o mdico
general, y ser enviados a especialidad a ms tardar a las ocho semanas.
Diagnstico: La historia clnica y la exploracin fsica nos hacen sospechar la presencia de
DDC, siendo el ultrasonido el mtodo diagnstico de eleccin durante los primeros 3 a 4
meses de vida.
