INTRODUCTION

Many of us have repeatedly

heard the word " subsistence
level ". However it is almost
unknown that it is the basis for
the entire social security
system.
Holding all social policies is
connected with the use of
subsistence level.

WHAT IS A SUBSISTENCE LEVEL?

The subsistence level is the cost

value sufficient to ensure
normal functioning of the human
body, preserving its health food
set and a minimal set of nonfood items and a minimum set of
services necessary to meet
basic social and cultural needs
of the individual.

consumption of a person or a family.
Recently Ukrainian consumer basket
has expanded to 297 items of
products.
