Norms & Expectations
Keep the time for our coaching meetings valued
Start & End on Time (45-55 minutes during prep period)
Communicate promptly if a meeting needs to be rescheduled or cancelled
Block off the time on your calendar and dont schedule other events (including student
meetings) during coaching meetings
Focus on the coaching cycle (planning, implementing, debriefing)
Communicate with each other ahead of time about specific questions, strategies, or tools
you want to address in the meeting
Hold ourselves personally accountable for our growth
Share with colleagues what you are learning
Try ideas that are new or seem foreign to you
Ask questions and continually be in a learners mindset
Focus on Student Learning
Technology should not be used for technologys sake. Purposefully use and then evaluate
each tool based on its impact on student learning (engages, connects, assesses) and on
you as a teacher (improves efficiency, builds PLN)
Ask questions and critically evaluate our efforts through the lens of improved / increased /
enhanced student learning
