BCBA stands for Board Certified

Behavior Analyst. In order to
become a BCBA we need to have
administration and assignments
that teaches us the breadth and
depth of the field. BCBAs must
have a minimum of a masters
degree (and a Ph.D. to be a BCBAD) and have a minimum of 1500
hours of supervision and 225
classroom hours of graduate level
coursework in behavior analysis

Obtaining BCBA
Certification
Applicants
for BCBA certification must meet one of the
followingthreeoptions:
Option 1requires an acceptable graduate degree from an accredited
university, completion of acceptablegraduate coursework in behavior
analysis, and a defined period of supervisedpractical experience to apply
for the BCBA exam.
Option 2requires an acceptable graduate degree, a full-time faculty
position in behavioranalysisthat includes research and teaching, and
supervised practical experience to apply for the BCBAexam.
Option 3requires an acceptable doctoral degree that was conferred at
least 10 years ago and at least 10 years post-doctoral practical
experience to apply for the BCBA exam.

APPLYING FOR
BCBA
The BCBA exam application is completed online through the BACB
Gateway. After completing anonline application, additional required
documents must be mailed to the BACB in one complete packet.
Applicantsmay pay theapplication fee online or choose to mail a check
with theirsupplementaldocuments.Once anapplication is approved,we
will send an authorization tothe test delivery company,Pearson VUE,
allowing the applicantto schedule an appointment to take theexam.
