INTERNATIONAL BALLOON FESTIVAL

The balloon festival is held

once a year

It lasts for 9 days

Over 500 balloons in each

festival

SNOW FESTIVAL

Its held every January in

the village centre

They started to do the

snow festival in 1983

Every year they have a

theme or motto for their
sculptures

In Australia 42% of the population is Christianity and Catholic.

In Switzerland the main religion is Catholic with 38% of the

AUSTRALIA'S HISTORY

The Aboriginals are thought to

be the first settlers in Australia.
The first know landing in
Australia(other than Aboriginals)
was the Dutch Navigator in
1606. Then white people took
over the country and the
Aboriginals were treated horribly.

SWITZERLAND'S HISTORY

Since 1848 the Swiss

Confederation has been the
federal state of relatively
autonomous canton, some of
witch have a history back of 700
years, which make it on of the
world oldest surviving republics.

LANGUAGES
The main Languages in Australia are English with 80% of the
population.
The main Languages in Switzerland are French, German, Italian and
Romansh.
