Using Internet of Things
What is Hydroponics?
Hydroponics is a method of
growing plants without soil.
It is the fastest growing sector
of agriculture and it could
very well dominate food
production in the future.

Advantages of Hydroponic
farming
Hydroponic farms require 90-95% less
water than conventional farms.
Farms can be set up anywhere as no soil
is required.
Plants grow 20-80% faster in hydroponics.
Year long harvesting is possible.
Plants need less space than conventional
farms hence 2-4 times more seeds can be
planted in the same space.
Disadvantages of
Hydroponic farms
Initial cost is high.
Needs more supervision.
Needs more technical
knowledge.
Difficult to balance pH levels.

Scope
Many IoT enabled hydroponic farms can
be placed near the city areas which will
directly cut transportation costs & using
IoT plants can be transported safely.
Rooftop farms , vertical farms ,green
buildings
A standard website can be made which
will take sensor data place correct graphs
and help farmers to attain information.
This way every farm will be used for
research purposes.
Using IoT farms will talk with each other
