Prerequisites
Prerequisites are the minimum requirements an
FSE must meet prior to participating in Lenovo
training or servicing a Lenovo product
Field Service Providers (FSPs) are responsible
for ensuring FSEs have met all requirements
Prerequisites include the following:
Comp TIA A+ Certification or
PC Basics Course or
Comp TIA Server+ Certification (if servicing Think
Servers)* or
Equivalent Training
*Comp TIA Server+ Certification meets minimum requirements for any authorization path
What is Authorization?
Authorization is what
Lenovo refer to as their
certification process.
Once an FSE has
successfully completed
the product training,
soft skills training and
passed course exams,
they will be Authorized
to service Lenovo
products.

FSE can be authorized on two product groups;
Think and Idea
Each product group has several authorization
paths
Think Authorization Paths includes the following:

PREREQUISITES

*Once this course has been successfully completed, it will fulfill the basic requirement for all three Idea authorization paths
reAuthorization
FSEs must reAuthorize biennial (every 2 years)
In order to successfully complete reAuthorization,
FSEs must complete the exams for the associated
authorization path with a score of 90 or higher
Although completing the training is not mandatory
during reAuthorization, it is highly recommended
If an FSE fails to obtain reAuthorization after three
attempts, they will be required to complete the
training prior to attempting another exam
