Therapeutic Career- Surgeon

1.) Job Description: Physicians who treat diseases, injuries, and deformities by
invasive, minimally-invasive, or non-invasive surgical methods, such as using
instruments, appliances, or by manual manipulation.

2.) Roles and Responsibilities: The surgeon is responsible for the preoperative
diagnosis of the patient, for performing the operation, and for providing the
patient with postoperative surgical care and treatment. The surgeon is also
looked upon as the leader of the surgical team.

3.) Essential Skills Needed: Need to be able to keep calm in difficult situations,
have a strong stomach, and adaptability

4.)Programs of Path: Four years undergraduate study, four years of medical

school that leads to getting your MD, and three to eight years of surgical
residency at a hospital

5.)Personality Traits: good at working with a team. Isnt required to be

good with patients

6.) Licensure: Must be 21 years of age, be of good moral character and

have not been guilty of acts constituting unprofessional conduct,
complete a background check, be a graduate of an approved medical
school and request your school provide a certified copy of your
transcript

7.) Non-Educational: Being able to stand for long hours at a time while
performing surgeries and not have clumsy hands

Diagnostic Services - Dental

Laboratory Technician

1.) Job Description: Dental laboratory technology is the science and

technology of designing and manufacturing corrective devices for and
replacements of natural teeth.

2.) Roles and Responsibilities:Create crowns, bridges and dentures

after receiving an impression of the patient's teeth from adentist

3.) Essential Skills Needed: Good eye-hand coordination and color

perception, dexterity in using small instruments

4.) Programs of Path: High school diploma, Associates degree and

certification by taking and passing the CDT (Certified Dental Technician)

5.) Personality Traits: Working well with others, patience, willingness to

learn and dependability

6.) Licensure: Passing the CDT. The examination is administered by the

National Board for Certification in Dental Laboratory Technology. A
dental technician who passes the certification examination becomes a
Certified Dental Technician

Health Informatics Clinical

Informatics Specialist

1.) Job Description: The Clinical Informatics Specialist provides expertise

and support in the education, development and enhancement of the
electronic health record (EHR) related to clinical practice and
documentation regulations of the legal medical record.

2.) Roles and Responsibilities: works with all clinical stake holders, Provides
the initial training and on-going education of clinical users and assists with
the development of standardized training materials used to facilitate
training for all CTCA clinicians

3.) Essential Skills Needed: communication, numeracy, ethics and patience

4.) Programs of Path: High school diploma and four year undergraduate
degree and nursing school

6.) Licensure: Must be licensed as a registered nurse, 3 + years hospital

or clinical area experience as a registered nurse, and 1-2 years
electronic health care implementation expertise

Support Services Transport

Technician

1.) Job Description: Transport technicians are individuals who look after
the whole process of transporting material and goods

2.) Roles and Responsibilities: make sure the materials will be on time,
check for hazards and proper housekeeping of warehouses, vehicles,
and equipment

3.) Essential Skills Needed: self motivated, responsible and good

communication

4.) Programs of Path: needs a bachelor degree plus two years of

medical laboratory technician program

5.) Personality Traits: good attitude, quick learning ability and handy

6.) Licensure: American heart association CPR card, valid US drivers

license, and fluent in English, provide additional languages spoken

Biotechnical Research Molecular

Biologist

1.) Job Description: Molecular biologist explore and study the structures
and functions of cells on a molecular level. Mainly working in a lab

2.) Roles and Responsibilities: Molecular biologist develop an

understanding of how biological molecules come together to function
as organelles, and ultimately as cells performing a particular function
within the body

3.) Essential Skills Needed: analytic skills, attention to details, computer

and organizational skills

4.) Programs of Path: High school diploma, Bachelors Degree, Graduate

Degree, and have a certified Ph.D

Biotechnical Research Molecular

5.) Required Personality Traits: good ability to handle stress, follow

directions, do tasks in a precise manner and being able to work alone

6.) Licensure: Molecular Biologists require a Ph.D. in biochemistry,

biology, physics, or other related field to work in research and
development. Though those holding a Bachelor's or Master's can obtain
an entry-level position

7.)Non-Educational: Being able to work long hours in a lab by yourself
