Why Malaysia as the ASEAN
member become a mediator in
Mindanao conflict?

Hypothesis
Malaysia has contributed to the settlement of the
conflict in Mindanao
Malaysia has the right to intervene in the
domestic affairs of the Philippines due to have
certain foundation when compared with the
organization, followed by Philippines
ASEAN does not have the authority to handle the
case but Malaysia has authority

The minimum ability to protect the
country, and maintain physical identity,
politics, and culture of the interference
of other countries. From this view the
country's leaders lower specific policies
on other countries that are the
characteristic is cooperation or

the

an

conciliation or mediation.

Malaysias National Interests on

Mindanao Conflict
Securing
the
position
of
the
border
related
to
the

dispute with Malaysia between the
Philippine government to prevent
refugee

Conclusion
In
its
role
as
a
mediator
and
facilitator,
Malaysia
also
have
interests,
namely;
securing
the
position of the border related to the
