BOOK RESUME
The book tells us about how nurse give a care and

treatment for patients with chronic illness. The book

also tell us about what is the meaning of chronicity,
ilness behavior and roles. The symptom of chronic
illnes. What is the impact on the client and family,
compliance, ethics in chronic ilness, nurse can do
management.

Illness behavior is influenced by many variables,

including the clients health beliefs. At some point
along the illness behavior continoum, the acutely ill
individual enters the sick role, in which it is accept
able to be dependent on others while being relieved
of sosial responsibilities.
Chronic illness is a condition not cured by medical
intervention, requiring periodic monitoring and
supportive care reduce, because of chronic illness
affects all aspect of an individuals life.

So, nurse must have a great intervention to

decrease the impact of crhonic illness and decrease
the patient with a chronic illness decrease the impact
of chronic illness for health and individual.
Because chronic disease has become the major
cause of disability research on the relationship
between self-efficacy and chronic illness has produced
a plethora of studies. Rather than receiving enabling
guidance on how to manage their chronic illness,
often people are simply given health guidelines which
they fail to follow. Interventions based on self-efficacy
provide hope. Because that treatment of chronic
illness must focus on a life-time of self management
