History

In 1912 Adolf Zukor founded a famous players film company

Jesse L. Laskey was an aspiring producer and in 1912, he founded

Laskey feature play company

In 1914, both Zukor and Laskey began releasing films through a well
known distributor at the time, which was Paramount Pictures
Corporation

Paramount Pictures Corporation became one the first successful

nationwide distributors

In 1916, Zukor managed to put together a three way merge of

Paramount, Laskey Feature Play Company and A Famous Players Film
Company

Zukor and Laskey bought out the founder and merged

The new company was called Famous Players- Laskey Corporation

Technological Evolution and Impacts

As the company grew, technology progressed and improved

Such as cameras, sound recording, and editing

As time progressed Paramount incorporated more technological

advanced techniques

Examples include

1941- Cameras progressed which allowed a variety of camera angles,

lighting, and experimenting with sound in the movie Citizen Kane

1997- New advances allowed intense scenes including editing and digital
rendering in the movie Titanic

2011- Paramount launched an film animation division
