Certification and/or Legalization of Commercial Invoice

The certification, which usually is performed by the local chamber of

commerce of the exporting country, is to conform that the invoice.

The legalization ,which is done by the consulate or the commercial section

of the Embassy of the importing country, is to verify that the invoice is
correct.

The certification and legalization are most often satisfied with a stamp or
a seal on the invoice.
Corrections or changes in the commercial invoice

Any visible corrections or changes made in the commercial invoice

must be initialed. In practice, the initial usually is done using a rubber
stamp bearing the word CORRECTION.
Difference Between a Commercial Invoice and a Shipping Invoice
Shipping Invoice
A shipping invoice is a general accounting of items sent from one
individual or company to another.

Standard information includes the name and location of the person or

organization sending the goods as well as the name and location of the
receiving party.

An itemized list of the goods, including the cost of each item, the number
of each item and the total cost of the items is also included.

The total charges to the recipient, including applicable tax and discounts,
