External Auxiliary Power Supply

Auxiliary power source is derived from either of the following

From an external power source of 230V, 50Hz supplied by

auxiliary power transformer

From low voltage supply connected to the utility distribution

line

External DC 110V supply for substation application

ENhanced TEChnology 49
The reason why Auxiliary power transformer is
not essential to supply control power

Supply DC constant voltage from AC 230V through AC-DC

converter

Closing and Opening Speed is not affected by voltage variation

in an external power supply

Recloser is used for the minimum 30 hours or 500 times of

operation with the back-up battery only when the AC power
supply is out

External power source of AC Source and Back-up Battery are

adopted for Dual Power Supply System

Recloser operation with using external AC power supply can

affect closing speed due to voltage variation. However, ENTEC
recloser maintains constant closing speed due to using DC
converter although AC power supply is used

FEATURE OF TIME CURRENT CURVE
EDITOR

Time Current curves may be selected for

viewing or modification
Standard Curves and user programmable
curves can be modified to provide TCC

TIME CURRENT CURVE
MODIFICATION
The following examples show Time-Current curve modification step by
step that the basic TCC of very inverse curve is easily modified with time
dial, additional delay and various functions

(1) The IEC Very Inverse Curve (IEC-VI) is selected

(2) IEC-VI is modified to IEC-VI(D) with 0.1s time dial

(3) IEC-VI(D) is modified to IEC-VI(DA) with 0.2s additional delay

(4) IEC-VI(DA) is modified to IEC-VI(DAM) with 0.7s M.R.T

(5) IEC-VI(DAM) is modified to IEC-VI(DAMH) with 600% High Current Trip

(6) IEC-VI(DAMH) is modified to IEC-VI(DAMHA) with 0.4s additional delay

(7) IEC-VI(DAMHA) is modified to IEC-VI(DAMHAT) with 900% High Current Lockout

(8) IEC-VI(DAMHAT) is modified to IEC-VI(DAMHATA) with 0.1s additional delay
