Ask Yourself:

Armature:
in sculpture, anarmatureis a framework around which
the sculpture is built. This framework provides structure
and stability, especially when a plastic material such as
wax, newspaper or clay is being used as the medium.
Negative Space
is thespacethat surrounds an object in a image. Just as
important as that object itself,negative space helps
todefinethe boundaries of positivespace and brings
balance to a composition.
Requirements
Sculpture must be at least 12 inches in one direction.

Use reed to make the armature underneath your sculpture.

Use white tissue paper in paper mache glue on top of your armature.

Create negative space in your sculpture by making some open areas.

Use a led tea light to make part (or all) of your sculpture a lamp.

On the paper provided make 6 thumbnail sketches of
ideas for this sculpture.
And make at least 2 large (full page) sketches of ideas
for your sculpture. They can be abstract!!!
Provide two reference pictures from the internet.
You may play around with the materials to get a feel for
what is or is not possible for the medium...
