MAJORLY AFFECTED
Esophageal cancer happens when the tissue that connect to the esophagus
becomes malignant. The esophagus is the tube that connects to the throat
and that connects to the stomach letting the food pass.
The two most common types of esophageal cancer are; Squamous cell
carcinoma and Adenocarcinoma
nearly 17,000 people in the United States will be diagnosed with esophageal
cancer and 15,690 will die of the disease in 2016.
Other risk factors include older age, being male, and being African-American.
Heavy alcohol use and smoking are major causes.
We investigated the world by learning about the country a bit more and about
this common cancer in the area
RECOGNIZE PERSPECTIVES
If there are any survivors they will need to adjust to a new diet and
lifestyle.
Side effects can be managed a variety of ways with lifestyle changes,
nutrition, exercise, and medication.
The risk is higher in men than in women.
We recognized perspectives by viewing the
different effects that can cause this cancer.
We also were able to understand the
cancer.
COMMUNICATE IDEAS
We can raise awareness for those who may be suffering with esophageal
cancer.
We can start charities and help raise money for those who can not afford
the medical care they need.
We can also make videos and movies raising awareness for everyone in
risk.
We can communicate ideas by doing any of these things
or also just talk to people about this subject and make
them aware of the symptoms.
TAKE ACTION
