Catfishes are a diverse group of ray-finned fish.

Named for their prominent barbels, which resemble a

cat's whiskers, catfish range in size and behavior from
the two largest species, the mekong giant catfish from
southeast asia and the wels catfish of eurasia.
Catfishs food commonly make from fish meal
as protein sources . Fish meal is made from fish
or part of his body. It dried and mill.
Replacement fish meal with another protein
sources has done by soybean meal (SBM).
Soybean meal is used in food and animal
feeds, principally as a protein suplement
and also as sources of metabolizable energy.
But SBM is expensive enough and it must
imported. So researcher in Indonesia find
alternatife from that problem. That is using
protein sources from Palm Kernel Meal (PKM).
PKM is an important feed ingredient and the by-
product of the oil palm.
But in order to make sources protein from
PKM and SBM have same nutrition, it must
use in certain contain. Based from reseach
we know that PKM using level is 8 % in
catfishs food can produce optimal growth
for catfish.
