disease of warm-
blooded animals,
especially of cattle
and sheep, caused
by the bacterium
Bacillus anthracis.
Transmitted
The disease can be
transmitted to
humans through
contact with
contaminated
animal substances,
such as hair, feces,
or hides, and is
characterized by
ulcerative skin
lesions
