you usher for MUTTS GONE NUTS.

receive assignment
6:05pm: Special Activity
6:45pm: Specific notes with House Staff and
volunteers
7:00pm: Lobby Opens:
- Teens in place to volunteer at assigned
position.
- If permitted, teens should be reviewing
assigned areas.
7:30pm: Doors to the House open
7:55pm: Doors to the House close:
- If permitted, all teens may find a seat in
their assigned area or volunteer designated seating
8:00pm: Show starts
INTERMISSION: (15 20 minutes)
- Ushers should return to their doors.
- Ticket scanners, programs and greeters
should assist patrons in the lobby.
10:00- 10:45pm: Show Ends:
- Greeters should return to their doors.
- Sign-out with supervisor at coat-check and
gather personal belongings.
When leaving the theatre, be sure to walk
with someone to your car.

Mission
 Duties and Responsibilities
As a Teen Usher or Ambassador at VTA, you are not to
do any of the following:
Serve as a solo exit guard during a performance.
Be at a door by yourself unless permission has been
given by your supervisor.
Give or receiving gifts from volunteers or patrons such
as money or food.
Make alternate transportation arrangements when
ushering. (example: riding home with a volunteer,
patron or adult that is not assigned on your
permission form)
Make adjustments to your usher assignments without
the supervision of your house manager or supervisor.

Black dress pants or skirt
- No spandex or stretchy pants
- Skirts must be fingertip length
- BLACK TIGHTS or PANTYHOSE must be worn with skirt
- Shirt TUCKED in at all times
Comfortable, black walking shoes
Men: Black socks
Women: black or skin tone colored
pantyhose/nylons with skirt & black socks
with dress pants
Name badge
Black belt if needed
No perfume or cologne
 Cell Phone Policy
You are permitted to have
your cell phone with you
while you usher
It must be placed in your
pocket and not be worn or
held
Cell phones may only be
used in the case of an
emergency
Failure to follow this
policy will result in
removal from the
program
No texting allowed in the theatre!

During The Show
When house lights go down
Auditorium doors should be closed
All main floor ushers move to back of auditorium
All upper floor ushers move to entrance passage
ways
Remain at your assignment until released
You may sit if the house manager has approved it
during notes meeting
Seating for volunteers and Teens will be reviewed
during the Notes Meeting; otherwise, sit in the area
of your assignment
