All IEEE Young Engineers Humanitarian Challenge (AIYEHUM),
organised by the IEEE Region 10 (Asia-Pacific), is a project
competition where young scientists and engineers identify a
community problem, develop technological solutions to address them
and eventually implement it with the support provided by the IEEE
R10.

that use humanitarian technologies by giving them an opportunity for

of their work to improve the standard of living of underserved
populations, and encouraging them to increase efforts in this direction
To engage with NGOs, Civil Society Organizations, UN Organizations,
Corporates, and other similar bodies to synergize efforts in delivering

 What is Region 10?

The IEEE Region 10, also sometimes referred as the Asia

Pacific Region, comprises
of 57 Sections, 6 Councils, 17 Subsections, 515 Chapters, 60
Affinity Groups and 958 Student Branches. It covers a
geographical area stretching from South Korea and Japan in
the north-east to New Zealand in the south, and Pakistan in
the west. With a membership of 107,154, it is one of the
largest regions in IEEE.
50th Year Celebrations

o On 24 August 1966 the IEEE Board of Directors

approved the formation of IEEE Region Ten or R10, also
known as Asia-Pacific Region, which led to the formation
of R10 in 1967
o 1000 plus people will be taking part in the celebrations
o Proposed Date 24th August, 2016
o We need all the student member support in planning
the celebration activities.Come join us and make it a
R10 Logo Design Competition

o Design a logo for the 50 Years Celebration of R10 and

get a chance to win a cash prize. We need a 50 Years
Celebration Logo representing professional
commitment, aspirations and cultural diversity of IEEE
members in the Asia Pacific region.
