Strengths of the Shoeshock
spreadsheet
Its easy to understand.
You can re calculate things very quickly by changing one cell E.g.
Overtime Rate.
By linking worksheets it makes it simpler and easier to read
because calculations to do for example with Overtime are on a
different worksheet to the main one.
By using the Yes or No toggle on Overtime, It makes it very easy
to manage people Pay
Weaknesses of the shoeshock
spreadsheet
The way its done you need to make a new worksheet every
month which is a bit difficult.
For overtime it will be better to make columns for each month. So
you dont need to make another spreadsheet.
The Yes or no Toggle for overtime would need to be changed if
someone started getting overtime as a later date. Otherwise it
would change the calculations for previous months .
Strengths of the Cost modelling
spreadsheet
Its very and clean to understand and nice to look at.
Very Easy to update the quantity cost.
Youve got a summary at the top which makes it easy to read for
management reporting.
Its got a picture of each product item which will avoid mistakes.
It uses name cells to reduces errors.
Weaknesses of the cost modelling
spreadsheet
You cannot see any obvious weakness for a cost modelling
spreadsheet.
The only weaknesses is it would take a long to make the
spreadsheet look this attractive. Whereas what it does is very
simple. They probably made it like this to avoid errors in inputting
data.
