Ethiopia is Sub Saharans oldest state.

Most populated country in Horn of Africa

Growth rate is 2.5 to 3.0%


The Land
The land is the most rugged topography in Africa

There are five topographic features (western highlands


and lowlands, Eastern highlands and lowlands, and Rift
Valley)
Elevation is ranging about 14,872.
Farming issues
Soil erosion effecting the agriculture

This is their lives and they depend on it!

Coffee farms exports around


$400 MIL in a year.
Rain and Drought

Ethiopia has four rainfall


regimes.
Western highlands get
about 80 inches annually.
The driest region is
Denakil Plains
Severe drought in 2013
left 13 million people in
desperate need of help.

Why this is important

The country of Ethiopia is very important


because they are experiencing both issues
with drought and flooding.
Their government needs help to make sure
the people of Ethiopia are taken care of.
Ethiopias agriculture is at risk and
effecting the lives of the people.
