Presidential Decree (PD) No. 705
Forestry Reform Code of the Philippines

The multiple uses of forest lands shall be oriented to the development


and progress requirements of the country, the advancement of science
and technology, and the public welfare;
Land classification and survey shall be systematized and hastened;
The establishment of wood-processing plants shall be encouraged and
rationalized; and
The protection, development and rehabilitation of forest lands shall be
emphasized so as to ensure their continuity in productive condition.
SECTION 34. Industrial Tree Plantations and Tree Farms
The maximum period of any privilege to harvest timber is twenty-five
(25) years, necessary to utilize all the remaining commercial quantity
or harvestable timber either from the unlogged or logged-over area.

SECTION 30. Rationalization of the Wood Industry.


No new processing plant shall be established unless adequate raw
material is available on a sustained-yield basis in the area where the
raw materials will come from.

natural and residual forests and creating the anti- illegal logging task
force.
