It was a beautiful Saturday evening. Birds

were flying in flocks ( ) back to their homes.
I was strolling ( ) in the park with my father.
The park was only a stones throw away ( ) from
our house and we often went to the park after
dinner. We chatted mirthfully ( ) while
taking a brisk walk ( ) around the park.

All of a sudden, we heard a loud screeching

sound followed by a deafening bang( ). We
were taken aback( ) and stood rooted on
the ground. As we recovered our senses(
), we quickly rushed to see what had happened.
Crowd began to form when we reached
the scene of the accident.

It was a rattling accident as a car suddenly

spun out ( and crashed into a
motorcycle. I saw the injured motorist sitting
under a tree. His arm and leg were bleeding
profusely ( ). Without wasting any precious
time, I whipped out my brand new mobile
phone and made a call for an ambulance at once

Soon after, sirens filled the air. The

ambulance arrived the scene. Some
paramedics jumped out from the
ambulance and placed the victim onto the
gurney
in no time. The man thanked us profusely
before he was sent to the hospital. At the end,
we took a sigh of relief ( as this
accident did not take away any lives.

There are some ways to prevent road

accident. First, we need to wear helmet or
safety belt while driving or riding. If we
are riding at night, we should not wear
dark-coloured shirt. Besides, we should
not text or phone while driving
especially on a busy road.
