Taxonomy
the science that deals with
describing , naming and
classifying living things
Activity

Lets have Fun with Living Things!
Rules

You are given 3 minutes for this activity
Assign who in the group will be the
leader/reporters, recorder, and performers
Each group will be given 20 pictures of
different living things, a piece of manila
paper, strips of papers and markers.
The group is tasked to classify the living
things into different categories (e.g.
animals living underwater)
Rules

The group will then write the categories
on the manila paper and underneath
the categories, they will attach the
organisms belonging to that category
Limit the categories to 7.
Each group will then present to the
whole class the result of their
groupings.

What do you think is the
importance of classifying living
things?
