INTRODUCTION

In countries ,the health problem rising along with increasing


population today's world but this project reduce problems of
human fitness by showing the major body fitness parameter
result.
There are many project in market related of human
body/parameter measurement but we are using the coding
concept for shown medical parameter.
In that parameter the BMI, BMR, protein intake, calories
intake, water intake, fat % of body, carbohydrates and also
vitamin and calcium of human body.
It shown by the formulae of each parameter by using ARM
controller with MATLAB coding and Terminal software.
The parameter reading easily shown by using RF module for
transmission or reception purpose input and output side and
the result easily display on screen.
New concept is that consider here patient as well as the
normal human being for measuring the medical parameter.
Then lab assistant enter the data manually which is related to
that human being and data will be share from him through RF
module to the nutrition expert.
Nutrition expert perform receiver role. Result automatically
display on pc on which is in Terminal software .

BLOCK DIAGRAM EXPLANATION

We are using LPC2148 Microcontroller which belong ARM 7 family.


We are using PC keypad for giving input to the microcontroller.
PC keypad works for giving input manually.
For transmission of data to remote place ,RF module is interface with the
microcontroller.
RF module is connected to UART0 of PORT 0.
As RF module is acting as transmitter ,it is connected to the RX PIN of
USART0.
When input is provided , the transmitting RF sends data which is received
by receiving RF which is connected to the PC.
After receiving the data , data will be displayed on the GUI .
HARDWARE SPECIFICATION

+5V Power supply


LPC2148 controller :-
32-bit ARM7TDMI microcontroller.
Low power consumption only 3.7V required.
8 kB to 40 kB of on-chip static RAM and 32 kB to 512 kB of on-chip
flash memory
RF module:-
Low power consumption.
Integrated IF and data filters.
work on ISM band(2.4GHZ).

MEASUREMENT OF BODY PARAMETER

BMR ( Basal Metabolic Rate)


It is the measurement of the calories needed to perform your bodies
most basic function like breathing, circulation and cell production

Formula for BMR:

For Men =
10 x W(kg)+6.25xH(cm)- age(years)+5
For Women =
10 x W(kg)+ 6.25 x H(cm) - age(years)-161
BMI - BODY MASS INDEX
It is representation of FAT level of person or obesity level.
It is indicate the how fit a person is in relation to the amount of fat in their
body.
Formula for BMI=
Weight (kg) / height (m)^2

Protein Intake:
It shown by the formulae of each parameter by using ARM controller with
embedded coding and assembly language so the parameter reading easily
shown by using UART for transmission or reception purpose input and output
side and the result easily display on screen.
Formula for Protein=
weight (kg) x 2=Protein(gm)
FAT OF HUMAN BODY (FAT%)

Every human body required minimum Fat% to healthy body,so it is depend


on the other body parameters like mineral,protein,calories and
carbohydrate.
Fat% is different for each age level to maintain healthy body.
WATER INTAKE

It is measure the water intake for human body from weight. Normal
human body contains about 72%water.

Formula for water intake =

CALORIES INTAKE

Calories are a measure of how much energy food or drink contains. The
term calorie is commonly used for kilocalorie. To determine the calories
from carbohydrate present in human body.
Calories intake is fixed for each age and its activity level for male and
female.

CALCIUM INTAKE

An age-related decrease in calcium absorption probably due to changes in


vitamin-D metabolism has been demonstrated in humans.
The skeleton of an adult man contains about 1.2 kg of calcium ,which in
the form of calcium phosphate most of the hard structure of bone .

VITAMIN INTAKE

Vitamins are organic substances which the body requires in a small


amount and they cannot make for itself; hence they are provided by diet.
Vitamins intake varry with as age increase of human.

CARBOHYDRATE INTAKE

Carbohydrate are used as energy by the body.


They fuel our workouts, as well as providing sample fuel to be used
throughout the course of the day.
Ingesting carbs also replenishes our glucose and glycogen stores to
prevent fatigue.

In the last semester we are using the visual basic software


for output representation.

In this semester we are change the main GUI of our


project.

We are using the MATLAB for output representation.

And at receiver used Terminal software for get output


result.

Step 6: At receiver, open Terminal Software and connect RF
module, then scan COM Port and get result
ADVANTAGES & DISADVANTAGES

Advantages:-
This is the robust system which is shown all the body
parameter.
Less time is required for human body parameter
measurement.
Technical coding and terminal software are used to
get output result.

Disadvantages:-
Only one person can measure his body parameter at a time.
The Code complexity is more.
If system error or coding error is occurred then output will
not accurate.
APPLICATION
It is used for general medical treatment at home.

It is used for school & college students to measure their


medical parameter .

As the name suggest, the project finds its main


application in hospital for tracking patient as
well as to understand the health value parameter
of patient.
CONCLUSION

The main purpose of this project is give the correct


requirement to human body.

It is work as system for nutrition to give accurate result.

Here suitable transmission by using RF module.

This project is related with biomedical subject which is


elective subject of engineering.
