When and where the event took place.

The 1992 Summer Olympic Games officially known as the Games of the
XXV Olympiad, was an international multi-sport event played in
Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain in 1992. Beginning in 1994, the
International Olympic Committee decided to hold the games in
alternating even-numbered years; as a result, the 1992 Summer
Olympics were the last competition to be staged in the same year as
the Winter Olympics. The games were the first to be unaffected by
boycotts since 1972.
A total of 169 nations sent athletes to compete in the 1992 Summer
Games. The Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was banned due to UN
sanctions, but individual Yugoslav athletes were allowed to take part as
Independent Olympic Participants. Four National Olympic Committees
did not send any athletes to compete: Afghanistan, Brunei, Liberia and
Somalia.

In Barcelona have been playing:
1-Athletics competitions have practiced since 1992.It celebrated in the
Estadio Olimpico de Montjuic.The participants were
1.765.Futhermore,EEUU had many accomplishment.
2-Also,basketball have practiced since 1992.In Barcelona played the
Dream Team.
3-Cycling.In this category the participants had to do ten tests. Three
tests in road and seven in track.In this category to have two World
records.
4-Swimming.Its the traditional category.The woman started to
competed in 1912.The girls and boys competed a lot of test.For
example 50 metres,100 metres
5-Football.Also,Its traditional category.In this category participated
mens and they were 16 national teams.The FIFA decide dan age limit in
1992.
6-Tennis.In this category the participants had to pass four tests.
Futhermore In the olimpyc games in Barcelona played other
categories.For example: canoe,judo,horse riding

The most important problem was money .
The Olympic games of Barcelona in 1992 had a big debt .
The city spent 5.565,4 millions of euros in the Olympic games, the
mayor Pasqual Maragall decided to make a holding , the societies
would do the Works and the administrations would charge to pay.
 Something surprising
The olympic Games of Barcelona 1992 have offered four suprise that
have represented four great achievements.
+The first surprise was the physical transformation of the city: The
recovery of the sea front, the sanitation of the city, The great sports
equipment, the habilitation of parks and squares.
+The second surprise was position the city of Barcelona in higher
levels of technology and building
+The third was the reaction of the citizens
+The fourth surprise was the accumulation of medals won by Spanish
athletes
