What qualities make for a good leader?

Take a few second to think and jot down what type of leader you
want want in your school and/or what type of leader you hope to be.

What are the traits that you are thinking about?

The qualities that I want in a leader
Intelligence or Knowledgeable
Self-Confidence
Communication Skills
Flexibility
Foresight
Empathy
Intelligence/knowledgeable
A leader should be knowledgeable about their school, about their job,
about their employees, and about what material or trainings they are
expecting their staff to know.
Self-confidence
A leader should have confidence in themselves as well as a sense of
responsibility to carry out the work.
As a leader, the staff looks up to you and showing that you have
confidence in what you say and do will transition that confidence
onto your staff.
Communication Skills
As a leader, you are in front of people all the time discussing and
sharing ideas and giving out direction. It is important that you have
the skills to get your point across.
Communication skills is not only verbal but through email as well.
Flexibility
A leader should be flexible in order to achieve success
Foresight
A leader must have foresight to see in advance what is likely happen
in future and take necessary action
Empathy
A leader should understand the feelings of others.
An understanding of family, work, and life situations.
Think about it
When I started this program, I wasnt confident. I had difficulty talking
in front of people, researching and writing a paper, and working in
groups. But with the help of the awesome professors and the
collaboration with my cohort, I feel more confident than ever.
As we end this course and end the program we are leaving with not
only the friendships that were made but the knowledge that was
shared and discussed.
