May kahirapan at di maiwasan
Paasa T.A.N.G.A. by Yeng Constantino Lyrics
May kasama kang maganda

Ang hirap palang maging T.A.N.G.A.

Ang hirap palang maging T.A.N.G.A.

Panalangin by Apo Hiking Mr. Right by Kim Chiu
Society
Panalangin ko sa habang buhay
Ikaw nga ba si Mr. Right?
Makapiling ka Makasama ka
Ikaw nga ba love of my life?
Ikaw nga ba si Mr. Right? (Mr. Right)
Mawala ka sa 'king piling
Ikaw nga ba love of my life? (Of my life?)
mata
Mr. Right na ba? Mr. Right ka ba?
At sana nama'y makikinig ka
Kapag aking sabihing minamahal kita
Function
- for entertainment
A song is an entertaining way to
communicate your thoughts with the
audience. Following this logic, any song can be
considered entertaining and also for
entertainment regardless of the message.
Meaning
-The meaning of each song can often be
acquired from the lyrics itself.

-There may be some which indirectly refer

to something else. This is a common
characteristic of socio-political songs.

Ex:

Spolarium by Eraserheads which is

believed to refer to the rape of Pepsi
Paloma.
Integration
Most of the functions of music did not change. They
were just communicated in a different way using different
words which follows our ever-changing culture.

There seems to be a lack of socio-political and

nationalistic music as compared to before. Most of the
newly released songs are love songs.

There may be some inadequacies in newly released

songs which forces the industry to use old songs to
showcase new artists.

Issues
1. Piracy

- Artists are not properly compensated for

their works.

- Loss of income leads to closure of more

record companies.

2. Producers that treat OPM as a money mill

rather than as art.
