•Immediate praise and rewards for performing
those behaviors .
•A gradual increase in the complexity of
reinforced behaviors.
•Definite distinctions of when and
when not to perform the learned
behaviors.

AUTISM IN THE UAE

o Cases of autism is showing to be increasing in the UAE,

which is said to be due to a larger detection of existing
cases and to an increase of risk factors that may cause the
disability.
o There aren’t any official numbers for how many cases of
autism existing in the UAE, but it is guessed that UAE, like
many other countries, has one out of 150 to one out of 200
existing cases of autism.
o The increase of autism in the UAE follows the international
trend of increasing autism around the world.
INCREASED AWARENESS IN THE
UAE

 The UAE has shown increased attention to the

disability in the beginning of the last decade,
which led to the opening of many centers,
including the Sharjah and Dubai centers for
Autism, the Abu Dhabi Red Crescent's centre,
the Abu Dhabi Sheikha Shamsa's centre, the
Abu Dhabi Educational Zone Centre, and New
England Centre for Children - Abu Dhabi.
