A DATA CABLE is a cable that provides
communication between devices.
For example, the data cable that
connects your monitor to your
computer and allows your computer to
display a picture on the monitor. Other
examples of data cables include the
CAT5E, IDE/EIDE, SATA, and USB

or IBM Disc Electronics, IDE is more
commonly known as ATA or Parallel
ATA (PATA). It is a standard interface
for IBM compatible hard drives and CD
or DVD drives.

SATA CABLE
The SATA cable is most often used
with hard drives but is also used with
drives such as disc drives.
FDD CABLE
FDD stands for FLOPPY DISK DRIVE.
Although most computers no longer
use floppy drives, the FDD connector
is still present on many motherboards.
The FDD connector contains 34-pins,
and uses a FDD ribbon cable to
connect to a 3 " floppy disk drive.
