20th Sunday A

A God of justice
Observe what is right, do what is
just;
for my salvation is about to
come,
my justice, about to be revealed.

Why so much injustice around?

Prayer and listening to God is the
first act of justice. If there is no
authentic prayer there is no real
CCC 1807Justiceis the moral virtue that
consists in the constant and firm will to give
their due to God and neighbor. Justice
toward God is called the "virtue of religion."
Justice toward men disposes one to respect
the rights of each and to establish in human
relationships the harmony that promotes
equity with regard to persons and to the
common good.
The just man, often mentioned in the Sacred
Scriptures, is distinguished by habitual right
thinking and the uprightness of his conduct
toward his neighbor.

deeds to do His will as it is
known to them through the

Reflection
1. Read 1st reading.
As a house of prayer spend a
moment to pray for justice in a
specific reality around us
2. What strikes you in the Gospel?
What modern day demons are
there? What can we learn from the
Canaanite woman? From Jesus?
