MEANING
Theperformance planningis a formal process in
organizations for discussing, identifying and planning
the organizational as well as individual goals which an
employee can or would achieve in coming appraisal or
reviewcycle.

The performance and planing are done both but the


employer as well as employee through a proper plan
calleddevelopmentplan.
DEFINITION

1. Performance Planning may be defined as a systematic


outlining of the activities that the manager is expected to
undertake during a specified period so that he is able to
make his best contribution to developmental and
organizationaloutcomes.

manager.

Performance monitoring is a process wherein the
supervisor ensures that the employee is progressing
towards the goals and objectives established during
goalsetting.
The supervisor makes sure that the work is being
accomplished in accordance to the standards
established at the beginning which acts as a
benchmarkandprovidesregularfeedbacktokeepthe
employeeontrack.

work they can excel in, and maintains fairness
insalaries, benefits,promotion, hiring, and firing. Most
workers want to know how they are doing on the job.

employee to give his best. Promoting employee to next
