Our second month of school has been even better than the first. As we Sept. 4 Labor Day, no school
have settled into the school routines and norms, we are able to dive into
the IB PYP units of study, beginning the year with our Who We Are unit. Sept. 14 Media Center

We are continuing this unit focusing beyond me and my family, and books are returned so
understanding family members and their roles. The school helpers are an students can get new ones
extension of this thought, and well be learning about our school helpers
and their jobs. We are talking about our bodies and the 5 senses, and how Sept. 16 Pre-K Playdate
9 a.m. -11 a.m. at Chastain
these senses help us know our surroundings and learn.
Park
Our extension in math and reading readiness continues as we continue to Sept. 26 College Pride day
master the names and sounds of the letters of the alphabet (this will be an
all year skill we practice) and making quantities to match a numeral. We get Sept. 28 Media Center
to sing and show what we know, along with using our classroom to turn library book checkout
that knowledge into exploring the classroom centers and expanding our
artistic creations.
