HOLY HOUR AGAINST EXTRA-JUDICIAL

KILLINGS
All praise and all
Thanksgiving be
every moment
Thine
Our Father
Hail Mary Glory
Lord, Jesus Christ,
I believe you are as
truly present in this
holy sacrament,
under the signs of
bread and wine,
as you were when
dying upon a cross
for the salvation of all
mankind, or as you
are now enthroned
in glory in heaven at
the right hand of the
Father.
You said that you
would give us
yourself as the bread
of life, which if we
eat, we shall live
forever.
I believe this truth
because you are
truth itself.
With confidence in
your loving
forgiveness
therefore, I approach
your altar, conscious
that my unworthiness
to receive you is
outweighed by your
desire to be united
with my soul.
You desire to nourish
it on its earthly
pilgrimage, until the
day when I shall be
with you
in the eternal
banquet, to feed on
the unveiled beauty
of your presence
forever.
Lord, Jesus, as I
kneel before Your
hidden presence,
help me respond to
Your graces
graces so that I may be
as really present to
You, as You are to me,
in the most Blessed
Sacrament of Your love
and mercy.
Allow your radiant
presence to re-ignite
the fire of Your Spirit
within me,
so that I may be Your
Sacrament of love
and mercy and all.
Amen.
so that I may be Your
Sacrament of love
and mercy and all.
Amen.
Lord God, crime is on
the increase within
our country. From the
depths of our hearts
we pray
that you will comfort,
heal, and bless all
victims of crime.
We ask that you
protect all people
from the evil of crime
and violence.
We pray especially
for life-changing
conversion for all
criminals and the
violent remove all
evil form their hearts,
fill them with your
goodness and love
that they may cease
their evil works
and that our city and
land be free from the
scourge of crime and
violence.
We pray also for the
grace to purge
ourselves of all
violencein our own
thoughts and actions,
in our family life, in
our friendships, in
relationships with
others.
Lord, I personal
commit to refrain
from violent acts or
words.
To settle conflicts. I
further swear to
teach others,
especially our youth,
that violence is too
quick an answer that
produces irreparable,
life-long and
threatening results.
First Letter of St. John
Heavenly Father, in
Your great love You
created us in Your
image and likeness,
and blessed us with
the gift of life which
we are to respect,
protect, and
preserve.
Yet, due to the darkness
of sin, human dignity is,
at times violated, and a
persons fundamental
right to life is desecrated.
Compassionate Lord, we
are deeply saddened by
the extrajudicial killings in
our towns and cities,
mostly unsolved and
drug-related.
We, as Your people,
are helpless in the
face of this evil.
With Your grace,
come to our aid!
By your power, put
an end to these
killings!
We pray for the
victims and their
families that they
may experience love
and find comfort in
Your compassion,
and in the promise of
eternal life.
We pray for those
involved in the illegal
drug trade, the drug
traffickers, and their
coddlers,
the hired killers, and drug
users, that they may
experience a deep
conversion of hearts, be
drawn back to, and
recover their basic
goodness.
We pray for the
guardian of social
order and law
enforcement
authorities
that they may
continue to uphold
with integrity the rule
of law and promote
justice.
We pray for all our
Church and
government leaders
and all sectors of
society,
that they may rise
above indifference
and actively
collaborate efforts in
political vigilance,
civic education,
virtue formation, and
moral ascendancy
toward the common
good and a happy
life.
Strengthen, O Lord,
our families that they
may truly be cradles
of love and
sanctuaries of life.
We ask this through our
Lord Jesus Christ, Your
Son who lives and reigns
with You in the unity of
the Holy Spirit, one God
forever and ever.
Mary, Mother of Life,
intercede for us.
God, you are just.
You are perfect in all
your judgments.
You balance every
scale. In time, all the
accounts will be
settled.
All truth will be told.
All debts will be
evenly scored.
For now, in this world,
we can push for justice
and labor for truth and
fair payment, but we
must often settle for
less.
We pray for those who
have suffered a grave
injustice, for those who
have had something
precious taken, broken,
destroyed.
We pray for their
souls, that the loss,
which cannot be
replaced, will be filled
with a miracle of
comfort.
Give the victims of
crime the assurance
that you stand with
them, that you hate
injustice even more
than they hate it.
Come close to the
broken hearted.
Console and join
them in their anger.
Teach them how to be
angry without turning
bitter. Show them how
to transfer their
demand for justice into
your hands,
in an act of
forgiveness, which is
not dropping the
charges,
but trading the
responsibility for
pressing the charges
to your eternal court
of heaven.
God, be with those
who have stood by
as the wicked seem
to survive their
wickedness.
Give them patient
hope that in the span
of eternity all truth will
be told and all scales
will be balanced.
And as they collapse
into your perfect love
and wisdom, teach
them that sorrow
alone is the way into
your deepest heart.
And may they find
you in their sorrow,
and find from you
what only you can
provide
A hope that does
not disappoint: in
Jesus.
Kyrie,eleison
Christe,eleison
Kyrie,eleison
Christ,
graciously hear
us.
Have mery on
us.
Spare us, Oh
Lord.
Graciously hear
us, Oh Lord.
Have mercy on
us.
God our loving
Father,
grant wisdom to
those who govern us,
compassion and
courage
to those who work to
defend human life,
and safety and care to
every human being.
For you alone who
formed us in our mothers'
wombs,
and who call us home to
heaven,
are God, for ever and
ever. Amen.
