The University at Oxford is one of the leading research institutions in the
world and has been held in high esteem internationally for centuries.

The music sources on the site were originally collected unbound in 64 boxes
before being catalogued online.

The University has partnered with a volunteer organization called Zooniverse

for the crowdsourcing project

Zooniverse consists of hundreds of thousands of researchers who devote their time and
money to make research more practical

The use of uncatalogued piano music is intended to improve access to the material, encourage wider
engagement with the Bodleian's music collections and facilitate research into amateur music-making
