More people die annually from CVDs than from any
other cause.
Over three quarters of CVD deaths take place in low-
and middle-income countries..
Most cardiovascular diseases can be prevented by
addressing behavioural risk factors such as tobacco
use, unhealthy diet and obesity, physical inactivity
and harmful use of alcohol using population-wide
strategies.
People with cardiovascular disease or who are at high
cardiovascular risk due to the presence of one or
more risk factors such as hypertension, diabetes,
hyperlipidaemia or already established disease, need
early detection and management using counselling
and medicines, as appropriate.
We chose to do the project about risk factors of
cardiovascular disease, because CVDs are a
general subject where everyone has to be
involved with to some extent in order to live a
high quality life. For example an accountant
wouldnt be exposed to CVDs information without
the publishing of necessary data through
different channels including newspapaers, TV
and big commercial boards. In order to keep
everyone in touch with the risk factors of
cardiovascular disease we wanted to make a
screening to see how much the public is aware to
the subject.
For every 100,000 individuals in France, 2303 were
discharged from hospitals in 2001.

An estimated 17.5 million people died from CVDs in 2012,
representing 31% of all global deaths.

ADVANTAGES

We chose to do a questionaire to find out data because its

cheap, non-invasive, and not prone to
conflicts with the involved subject.

DISADVANTAGES

Not accurate information subjects can lie, which means we

wont recieve all relevant data from the subject because
both the cost and time of asking individuals cannot pass 5
minutes in order for it to be cheap and usually after that
time the subject loses interest in the questionaire.
We researched Mainly about the lifestyles
which people are having and the differences
between the so called ideal lifestyles to their
own. Most of the difference was in the way
people deal with fun activities. Not
necessarily the job or taking care of family.
We learned a lot from this experience and will
probably explore more about the subject in
the future. The most intersting fact we found
was the mortality rate being so high globally.
