Selection Process Candidates

must go through Physical Endurance


Test, PST and Written Examination.
For Constable
Selection process may include the following:
Physical Endurance Test (PET)
Physical Standard Test (PST)
Written Examination (Objective Type)
Application Fee A candidate shall deposit
online fee of Rs. 300/-(Rupees Three
Hundred only) or use the services of
Common Service Centers. In case of
non availability of online payment facility the
candidate may use the option of depositing
the application fee through Bank Challan.
How to Apply Interested candidates can
apply online on or before last dates from the
Application Form
The candidates should have passed matriculation examination
or equivalent from any Government recognized Board before
the cutoff date for submission of application form.

JK Police PET (Physical Endurance Test)
Long Race for Male = 1600 meters in 6
minutes
Long Race for Females = 1000 meters in 6
minutes
Pushups (Only for male candidates) = 20 (on
cycle of up and download to be count as one)
Shot Put (4kgs) (only for female
candidates) = 14 feet in 3 attempts
JK Physical Standard Test (PST) Qualifying measurement
candidates are required to bring along with their original
documents / testimonials for scrutiny during the PST.

Written Exam
The written test will consist of objective
questions. The question paper will consist of
100 questions to be attempted in 2 hours. The
question paper will be of matriculation
standard will comprise questions on general
awareness / general knowledge, elementary
mathematics, analytical aptitude and ability.
I. Age Limit: Candidates should not be less
than 18 years and more than 28 years of age .
II. Note: However, in case of SPOs/ Volunteer
Home Guards (VHGs) with a continous
period of engagement of minimum three
years and five years respectively, the upper
age limit shall be 37 years.
III. Educational Qualification: Candidate
must have passed at least Matriculation
examination from a recognized Institution.
