Factory Acceptance Test

An FAT shall be conducted at the Supplier's facility using the Suppliers FAT procedure, (pre-approved
VSP), a rigorous test of the control system will occur. All major components & functions of the system
will be tested. A gas turbine simulation package will be used to simulate the startup / shutdown and
typical problems associated with a Gas Turbine system.
At a minimum the following shall be performed during the factory acceptance test:
Check hardware to verify that all materials have been supplied and configured per project
requirements.
- Point to point wiring test.
- Power up and power down tests.
- Injection of digital and analog signals for control logic checkout and I/O address confirmation.
- Simulation of all auxiliary system controls.
- Simulation of all sequencing.
- Simulation of all protection.
- Check custom operator graphic displays with respect to appearance and functionality of controller
faceplates, data points, alarm points, trends, reports, alarm lists and event lists.
- Check speed of trend page loading.
-Verify communication network.
-Supplier shall provide a minimum of five (5) days witness factory acceptance testing prior to shipment
of the system to site.
