Nurse Brad flint works the 12 hours evening shift
on a busy surgical unit in a 200 bed community
hospital. He has been employed on this same unit for 5
years. During the past years he has been late six times
and he often receives several calls per shift from his
children.
Unit manager susan smith has verbally counseled
nurse flint and palace a disciplanary warning in this
personnel life. If nurse flint does not concistently arrive
on time for hist shift over the next 3 month, he will be
suspended without pay and perhaps lose his job.

1. the problem of the scenario is nurse flint often
came late and doesnt dicipline in his works.

2. it become a problem because nurse flint works

on a busy surgical unit so his dicipline and
attendance is very important. If he come late it
will be influence his work process and his works
value.
3. The nurse flints overdue problem has impact to
all side, included his unit manager and especially
to his patient. If nurse flint often come late it can
caused bad impact to the patients healing
process.

about his mistake. After that, may be we can give him a
solution. And finally we have to give him know about
the consequence if he come late again.
